My boyfriend brought me here for national girlfriend day because we saw a viral TikTok on this place. It was our first time here and they had asked us if we had a reservation, but we didn’t. They said the wait would be about 3 hours, but the bar was open-seating. Thankfully, there was space at the bar! We are so glad the wait for the tables was long because we met the coolest bartenders!! Their service was amazing; always checking up on us and refilling our water. The food was so delicious, we didn’t dislike a single thing we ate! Their staff is so friendly and catered to all our needs. We were very pleased with our experience here and were very vocal about wanting to return again someday
We really enjoyed dining at Teddy Wong! The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, making it a great place to relax. Our waitress, Kelsey J., was super nice and very attentive, which made our experience even better. The wagyu potstickers and the soup dumplings were so delicious! Parking is a little tricky but it definitely worth it once you’re inside. Highly recommend!
I had such a great experience here! The dim sum was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The soup dumplings were definitely the highlight — perfectly cooked with soft, delicate wrappers and generous fillings. Everything came out hot and quickly, and the staff was so attentive, especially Neal! Thank you for recommending the salt and pepper squid and for being amazing. . The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the menu had a great variety of options to try. I’ll definitely be coming back to sample more dishes. Highly recommend this spot if you love authentic, delicious dim sum!
All praise, no con! This place is great from service to food! We ordered quite a bit: Eggrolls with some spicy mustard. Perfect combo. Crab Rangoon. It was so good. We ordered lots of dumplings (combo, mushroom truffle lamb, etc. I can't remember them all but all were great.) We also got the Texas beef broccoli and the beef with long peppers (spicy but good). We also had the scallion cakes. Those didn't last long. And topped it all off with vanilla bean bourbon ice cream. I'm ready to go back, so much I want to try.
Absolutely delicious! I have been wanting to come here and my boyfriend surprised me for dinner. We tried the hot oil wontons, crispy shrimp balls, the veggie dumplings, the mushroom dumplings, the chicken dumplings, veggie egg roll, and shrimp and steak fried rice. Everything was amazing! Tried it with the Janz Brut Rose! Service was quick, kind, and knowledgeable!
Fun newer place in Near Southside with reasonably priced menu items (both food and drink) designed to enjoy solo, as a couple, or with a group. Everything we tried was as promised, but nothing was a true signature dish. Our faves were the pork and chive dumplings and Mongolian beef. Overall volume was louder than expected leading us to lean in more than once to hear one another. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Overall 4.5/5.0.
Took a friend down here for lunch. It’s near the hospital district on Rosedale. It’s a cute little, very intimate restaurant. While it’s kind of a traditional Asian place, it also had a kind of weird cowboy flavor going on as well. We both got the BBQ fried rice. It was good, a bit heavy on the vegetables and a bit light on the BBQ. It was very good with a decent portion. Our waiter was very good, friendly and helpful. The manager did try to upsell us for a bottle of wine while we were eating. Nice try anyways We might go back as my daughter would love this but it’s not close to where I normally be so… Expensive but good. Lunch for 2 ran $35 plus
Great Chinese food with very generous portions. Tried the hot oil pork dumplings. Really liked the flavour and the kick from the spicy oil. Wagyu potstickers were really good and you can taste the quality of the meat. Pork soup dumplings are very tasty. We ordered a lot of things to try, we figured we’d have some leftovers for the week, but we were surprised at how generous the portions were. Everything we ordered was great. Peking duck is amazing, and the orange chicken was great. We will definitely be back.
